We offer both brand specific fitting, such as Avoda/Foreward Golf, which are clean slate bling testing approaches and more specific  organic improvement methods (such as Tom Wishon).

With Foreward Golf, we look at 8 main iron variables, starting with club bounce angle which is something you rarely hear elsewhere outside of a wedge fitting, but is important for quality ball striking. The test clubs are all fixed and utilise the highest quality shafts (TPT) so we can confidently isolate your swing variables one by one. The resulting script will provide three options, 1 x Foreward spec and 2 x Major brand (all of which can be sourced by PBG)

Avoda focusses firstly on lie angle, which has huge influence on the start path and face angle of the club at impact. Moving onto other variables such as length, weight, shaft flex, grip size, all of which can be tested to the extremities in the process.  The player led session results in a single or combi length specification, increasing our swing consistency.

Our experience allows us to prioritise which variables in each process will have the most lasting effect for any specific golfer. Does a larger grip or a flatter lie provide the reliable push draw a player is looking for? If a specific trajectory is our aim, does loft angle or CG location achieve the best result?

“Every golfer swings differently every time they play”. A one-off fitting can only provide a solution to the version of the golfer that turns up on fitting day. We mitigate this by meeting on multiple occasions, quite often in different environments (we generally start in a SIM with a launch monitor) and providing test clubs where possible before the final script is agreed.

Sounds expensive? £50 – £150 depending on the brand and location (plus sim charges if using third parties) we often only charge travel and sim costs after the first session. Our test clubs are re-used where possible and therefore keep such costs to a minimum. We are motivated by success for the player; this is a dream occupation not a 9-5.
